National Reconciliation Week 2025

NRW2025

Bridging Now to Next #NRW2025

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to reflect on our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and consider how we can each contribute to reconciliation.

The 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, highlights the ongoing connection between past, present, and future. It invites all Australians to step forward together, guided by lessons from the past, to build a united and respectful nation.

The theme artwork, created by Kalkadoon artist Bree Buttenshaw, features native plants symbolizing strength, renewal, and resilience鈥攔eflecting the spirit of reconciliation as a journey of growth and commitment.

What is National Reconciliation Week? NRW runs from 27 May to 3 June each year, marking the 1967 referendum and the Mabo High Court decision鈥攖wo key milestones in Australia鈥檚 reconciliation journey.

Reconciliation is a shared responsibility. By fostering respectful relationships and valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures, we help build stronger, more inclusive communities.
